This award recognises a standout graduate candidate who has leveraged apprenticeship programs to start a career within the ICT industry. Open to all roles and responsibilities, this individual has made an immediate and positive impact on the business through providing a fresh perspective and high levels of professionalism.

Note: This award is open to candidates involved in a graduate program between 2021-2024.

  1. Identify and describe what attracted the nominee to enter a career in the ICT industry
  2. Explain the benefits of the graduate program the nominee is actively engaged in (or recently completed) and how it is accelerating their career
  3. Highlight where the nominee sees herself 12 months from now and the steps she is already undertaking to achieve that goal 

RISING STAR

This award recognises a standout candidate rising through the ranks within the ICT industry, acknowledging significant advancement during the early stages of her technology career. This individual is growing in stature and importance through demonstrating outstanding business acumen, deep market expertise and high levels of professional integrity. 

  1. Share an example of achievement during the early stages of this candidate’s career (successful projects, initiatives, promotions etc)
  2. Describe how this candidate has demonstrated innovation, professionalism and leadership qualities
  3. Highlight where the candidate sees herself 12 months from now and the steps she is already undertaking to achieve that goal

SHINING STAR

This award recognises an established candidate with a strong record of achievement, acknowledging excellence in spearheading company initiatives and driving strategic change. This individual is a consistent high performer who regularly achieves standout business results and continues to assume increased levels of seniority within the organisation.

  1. Share at least two examples of achievement during this candidate’s career (successful projects, initiatives, business results, promotions etc)
  2. Describe how this candidate has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities as a role model for future leaders
  3. Highlight where the candidate sees herself 12 months from now and the steps she is already undertaking to achieve that goal

ACHIEVEMENT

This award recognises a standout candidate who has delivered an unrivalled contribution to the ICT industry, evident through outstanding professional and personal achievements. This individual has earned a reputation as an esteemed thought leader following a distinguished career as both a business leader and role model for aspiring executives.

  1. Provide an overview of the candidate’s journey from industry entry up to today and at least three significant challenges they overcame as a pioneer.
  2. Demonstrate the results of the nominee’s contributions to the wider ICT industry (mentorships, training programs, etc.)
  3. Share at least three examples of how the candidate is recognised by their peers as an industry thought leader.

ENTREPRENEUR

This award recognises an enterprising candidate with a risk-taking mentality, honouring excellence in launching new ventures, products or services. This individual has a proven background in building innovation from the ground up, evident through converting market-leading ideas into viable business offerings.

  1. Provide an overview of the business venture, product or service and what inspired the nominee towards entrepreneurship
  2. Demonstrate how the nominee operates as an independent thinker who is willing to take risks in the face of uncertainty to disrupt the market? (competitive point of differentiation, creative processes, programs, etc) 
  3. Describe the nominee's goals and ambitions for the business in the months ahead?

INNOVATION

This award recognises a creative-thinking candidate who is a standout in bringing innovation to life through a big picture and out-of-the-box approach to business. This individual is unrivalled at converting embryonic ideas into viable working solutions through a unique thought process designed to continually push the envelope.

  1. Share an example of how this candidate has delivered business value through innovation (successful projects, solutions, initiatives etc)
  2. Describe the process of how this candidate converts ideas into viable working solutions / projects? (development of initial idea and progress timeline)
  3. Demonstrate with at least three examples the core personal attributes which define this candidate as a creative thinker?

TECHNICAL

This award recognises excellence in the form of technical and engineering expertise, honouring deep domain knowledge in relation to technology products, solutions and services. This candidate has provided business value through specialised skills and competence, spanning technical, pre-sales and support roles.

  1. Provide an overview of the nominee’s technical expertise in their field (certifications, product / solution knowledge, training etc) and their journey to success
  2. Explain how the nominee delivers value through technical expertise (projects, initiatives, sales support etc)
  3. Demonstrate with at least three examples the core attributes which define the nominee as a technical expert

DEI COMPANY

This award recognises the standout company in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across all aspects of the business, spanning employees, customers and key stakeholders. This organisation has gone beyond a surface-level commitment through the introduction of policies and programs to meet (DEI) goals, evident through targeted initiatives, strong leadership and clearly defined deliverables.

  1. Demonstrate evidence of this company’s vision and strategy in relation to DEI (examples of policies, programs and organisational framework)
  2. Highlight examples of senior leadership actions to spearhead DEI initiatives
  3. Document company goals and targets in relation to DEI, supported with evidence of progress

DEI INDIVIDUAL

This award recognises an influential individual who actively drives diversity, equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives through mentoring and thought leadership across the ICT industry. This candidate acts as a role model for aspiring executives, cultivating diverse teams to drive change both internally and externally.

  1. Highlight the core individual attributes which define this candidate as a champion of DEI
  2. Provide an overview of the nominee’s journey to become a leading force of Diversity and Inclusion efforts within the business
  3. Demonstrate the results of the nominee’s industry influence and thought leadership (mentorships, training programs, etc.)
